Coinciding with National Education Day and as part of strengthening organizational governance and administrative operations, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held an inauguration ceremony, oath-taking, and handover of positions on Friday (May 2) at the UNY Auditorium. This event also marked the official implementation of the new organizational structure and governance system in accordance with UNY Rector Regulation No. 7 of 2025 concerning the Organization and Governance of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.

Several faculty members from the Department of Educational Administration were inaugurated to assume various leadership positions, including:

• Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo, M.Pd. as Vice Rector for Finance, UNY
• Prof. Dr. Lia Yuliana, M.Pd. as Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance, UNY
• Prof. Dr. Nurtanio Agus Purwanto, M.Pd. as Dean of the Faculty of Education (FIP), UNY
• Dr. Cepi Safruddin A. J., M.Pd. as Vice Dean for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Business Affairs, FIP UNY

In addition to the inauguration and oath-taking, the Rector of UNY also presented Rector’s Decrees to several Department Chairs and Secretaries, namely:

• Dr. Mada Sutapa, M.Si. as Chair of the Department of Educational Administration
• Dr. Yuni Astuti, M.Pd. as Secretary of the Department of Educational Administration

Rector’s Decrees were also awarded to other faculty members from the Department of Educational Administration, including:

• Dr. Wiwik Wijayanti, M.Pd. as Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Educational Human Resource Management, Graduate School of UNY
• Dr. Slamet Lestari, M.Pd. as Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Educational Management, FIP UNY
• Dr. Setya Raharja, M.Pd. as Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Educational Management, FIP UNY
• Dr. Suyud, M.Pd. as Head of the Teacher Professional Education Unit, Directorate of Professional Education and Competency
• Dr. Endang Sri Budi Herawati, M.Pd. as Expert Staff to the Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance for Accreditation Quality Assurance and Academic Reporting
• Dr. Sukirjo, M.Pd. as Expert Staff to the Director of the Directorate of Infrastructure, Facilities, and Assets
• Aris Suharyadi, M.Pd. as Coordinator of Campus 2, UPP 1, FIP UNY

In his remarks, the Rector of UNY, Prof. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO, expressed his appreciation to the outgoing officials for their dedication and service, and extended his congratulations to the newly inaugurated officials. “We hope that the newly appointed officials will carry out their duties with great enthusiasm and continue to develop the programs that have already been implemented. May the trust bestowed upon them contribute to the continued progress of UNY,” he stated.

This inauguration serves as an important milestone in strengthening the institutional structure of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, particularly within the Department of Educational Administration, to support the more effective and efficient achievement of UNY’s vision and mission.
